A practical checklist for buying from an online seller

Check the listing, delivery terms and seller conversation before you commit to a purchase.

Start with the listing, not the discount

Read the full product title, description and condition. A low price tells you little if size, model, quantity or included accessories are unclear. Compare the photos with the written details, and ask the seller to explain anything that differs.

Save the listing details before paying, especially for used goods or items with several variants. A screenshot of the agreed item, price and delivery terms can help if the listing changes later. Avoid assuming that a promotional image proves the exact item you will receive.

Agree on delivery and returns first

Confirm the delivery location, estimated timing, who pays the rider and what happens if nobody is available to receive the item. Ask whether you can inspect it at delivery. For fragile or expensive items, agree on packaging and what evidence to keep if it arrives damaged.

Check the seller's return or cancellation terms before you place the order. Keep communication and order details in the platform when available, so both sides can refer to the same record. Do not share one-time login codes or account passwords with a seller or rider.

Pay with a traceable reference

Use the checkout method shown for that transaction. A request to send money to an unrelated personal account, especially after the order was created, deserves a pause and a check with support. Keep the payment reference and wait for the order status to reflect confirmation; a transfer screenshot alone does not prove that an order has been reconciled.

If a payment is delayed or the item differs from the agreement, contact the seller through the available order channel and use the dispute route promptly. Describe the issue clearly, attach relevant evidence and avoid posting private bank details in public chat.
